We've watched the first few episodes, and it's fun so far! However, it is what I call "superserialized": every episode demands that you remember in detail all the previous events.
If you have TiVo, I suggest you just save all the episodes and watch them over a few nights after the TV season peters out. (We've done that with other shows; works great!) Personally, I can't retain as much as I'd like to. Watching this series over twenty-some-odd weeks puts too much strain on my retentive/recollective capacity.
I'm sure they will repeat the episodes. The SciFi channel is mirroring it all, too.
It looks as if they will tie it all up together into a nice story. If the end is 2/3 as good as the beginning, I'll give it all a thumbs-up! The Hiro character is especially fun -- comic relief that does not cross the line into absurdity -- a tough accomplishment!
Whoa, Töff, there's every bit of what you don't want on Prodigy in that show. I thought it was going to be something like X-Men. But it's not. There's blood and guts everywhere.
It's quite addictive, too, though. Just not for kids . Here's something I wouldn't let my children watch, not until they were at least... well.. you get my drift .
Yes, there's some CSI-style gore ... of course, network TV does not play by Prodigy rules (and vice versa). I was only judging it on its own merits, not its compatibility with M&M content goals. I neither expect nor want all the world to go PG.
My only fear is that they completely fail to live up to the story arc elements they've put in place already. I remember the "Surface" fiasco ... but "Heroes" so far is way better. I predict they will culminate it all properly.
I love this show, "They" say this might take lost's spot as the top tv show on tv now. I love hiro, I love the brothers and the painter. Can't wait for the next episode.
I' ve known that for like a month and a half, about Petrelli. Hey what about a new topic or Something like an Archive section of Heroes and other noteworthy Super Hero genre items.
